Prof. Dr. Natalya Ketenci

Natalya Ketenci is a Professor in Economics at Yeditepe University, Turkey, where she has been employed for the past 17 years. Since 2022, she is the director of the Management Application and Research Center at Yeditepe University (MARC-YUVAM). She received her Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Reading, UK (2003) and an MSc in Mathematics from the Kazak State National University (1996). At the same time, she is a member of the Centre for Euro-Asian Studies at the University of Reading’s Henley Business School. Dr. Ketenci was assisting in the preparation of the Transition report 2001: Energy in transition in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, London (UK). Her works have been focused on international trade issues in the European Union and emerging countries. Her current research has a focus on energy issues in Turkey and on energy links between European and transition countries. She is one of the editors and authors of Economics and Politics of Energy in the Middle East and Eastern Europe and Turkish-Russian Relations: Prospects and Challenges books published by Lexington Books in 2021 and 2019. Her publications include contributions to such journals as Energy, Russian Journal of Economics, Empirical Economics, Economic Modeling, and Research in Economics.
